About Your RoleWe are hiring an Apprentice to join the Resourcing Centre of Excellence as a Data Analyst Administrator, supporting the Head of Resourcing Transformation with our Strategic Workforce Planning build out and ongoing maintenance.
For this vacancy you will have the opportunity to gain a Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship qualification. You will focus on adding value, enhancing efficiency, and contributing to the wider Resourcing and People teams, gathering and structuring data sets, ensuring data integrity, analysis and interrogation of our people data to build data models and produce supporting insights to inform key business decision-making stakeholders, contributing to strategic initiatives across various departments.
As an Apprentice Data Analyst Administrator, you will dive deep into the world of data analytics, working alongside seasoned professionals in a dynamic, supportive environment. This entry-level position is designed to kick-start your career in data analysis, offering hands-on experience with real-world projects.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate across all functions to collect and analyse data, contributing to the development and implementation of data-driven strategies that support business objectives.
Participate in the creation of dashboards and reports, utilising tools like SQL and a range of reporting tools to visualise and communicate findings effectively. E.g. PowerBI and PowerPoint.
Engage in comprehensive training programs, including workshops and mentorship opportunities, to develop your technical skills and understanding of data analytics practices.
Prioritising requests considering wider implications and their impact to business users.
Working with a broad range of colleagues and partners at all levels, internally and externally.
Extracting data from multiple platforms, building/producing reports, and preparing presentations.
Supporting the Resourcing Leadership Team on projects and miscellaneous assignments.
What we are looking forYou are a digital native, with strong technical skills and MS Office experience / skills.You have a basic understanding of data analysis tools and techniques.You are highly organised, thorough, and methodical, able to work on your own initiative and collaborate as part of cross-functional teams.You work to a high level of data accuracy and have a high attention to detail.You are comfortable with changing priorities and able to prioritise your own workload, seeking input from the Resourcing Leadership Team when there is ambiguity.You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal and you can succinctly assimilate and summarise data.You have a flexible attitude and are discrete, comfortable working with sensitive personal data.As you will be working with and have access to data privacy information, you must have a strong understanding and respect for confidentiality.You are solutions oriented, ready to present potential solutions when identifying issues.Committed to fostering an inclusive work environment that values diversity and social responsibility.
What do we look for in our apprentices?You should have an interest and passion for your chosen apprenticeship pathway.You should enjoy creative problem-solving, thinking critically and getting practical, hands-on experience.You should be committed to learning and completing studies in your chosen pathway.You will have Maths and English Level 4-9 or equivalent/ Scottish National 5 certificates grade A to C and you should be able to provide these certificates upon request.
What else?You will be hired on a Fixed Term Contract for a period of 18 months.You will be working 40 hours per week and complete your online studies alongside your duties.
