GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Payroll MI Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll operations by providing insightful data analysis and reporting.

As a Payroll MI Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the payroll team and stakeholders with comprehensive data analysis, identifying potential issues or discrepancies, and escalating them promptly. You will also generate regular management and payroll frequency reports, along with performance metrics to track the effectiveness of our payroll processes.

This position requires a strong understanding of payroll data requirements and proficiency in utilizing reporting tools such as Power BI, Google Analytics, or Tableau. Your expertise in SQL and advanced MS Access will be invaluable in analyzing large datasets and extracting meaningful insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the payroll team and stakeholders to analyze payroll data, identifying and resolving any inconsistencies or errors.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive management and payroll frequency reports, including performance indicators to assess payroll efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to improve payroll processes by collaborating with third-party providers and internal teams, including writing test scripts and defining expected outcomes.
  • Become a subject matter expert in our payroll data requirements and reporting tools, documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficient data management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing payroll processes and reporting capabilities.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in payroll with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with large datasets and generate insightful reports.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Power BI, Google Analytics, or Tableau, along with SQL knowledge and advanced MS Access skills.
  • Familiarity with data lake/warehouse environments and VBA programming for automating manual tasks.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to identify and resolve problems independently.
  • Hands-on experience working with ADP Global View, SAP, or similar payroll systems.
  • Excellent business analysis skills, including communication, influencing, listening, and organizational abilities.
