About the Role

Avery Healthcare is seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to support the processing of payrolls for approximately 9,000 employees across our care home sites. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Collecting and verifying payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with UK payroll legislation.
  • Reviewing payroll reports and communicating any changes or corrections needed in a timely manner.
  • Dealing with employee, HMRC, and third-party payroll queries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensuring compliance with UK payroll legislation, including HMRC and National Minimum Wage requirements.
  • Producing required payroll-related reports for operations and executive teams as needed.
  • Providing information and assistance to employees regarding payroll policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring employee records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Reconciling finance system balance sheets through journal postings and reconciliations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of payroll experience, preferably in the care industry or a multi-site operation.
  • Strong Microsoft experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
