This is a dynamic and diverse role, reporting into the Logistics Team Lead and based onsite at Waterbeach, Cambridge.

Daily duties include:

Handling a variety of product types, storing and retrieving samples from temperature regulated locations ranging from 4°C to -196°C.

Support shipping activities, determining the most appropriate shipment method through detailed knowledge of procedures and determining the most appropriate shipment method through detailed knowledge of company procedures

Examine outgoing shipments to ensure all internal specifications and regulatory requirements are met. 

Preparation of air waybills and associated shipment documentation. 

Post-shipment dispatch work, including updating and maintaining shipment records to regulatory and HD requirements plus communicating results and issues. 

Accurately following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Ensuring completion of duties with minimal errors to support department metrics.

Contributing to operational excellence and assisting in the further development of a Lean approach to process flows.

Receiving shipments and materials into the building.

Passion and interest in working within a scientific environment.

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment and on multiple projects with constantly changing priorities and deadlines, be well organized, self-motivated and have excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
