This key strategic role sits at the heart of our platform and services teams, empowering connections between Smartsheet and other systems. You’ll lead initiatives to scale our products almost infinitely, envisioning the next level of growth and efficiency. Reporting directly to our Senior Vice President of Platform, you will oversee a vibrant team of directors and engineers dedicated to crafting visually captivating and user-friendly products, build on strong foundations. You will empower organisations, from small businesses to global enterprise leaders, to seamlessly manage and automate their work, whether in the office or on the go.

Our SVP of Platform is based in our Edinburgh office. You may choose to work from our Edinburgh or London offices, or you may choose to work remotely from anywhere in the UK.

You Will:

Build and nurture high-performing teams and leaders through strategic hiring, coaching, and development initiatives. Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices to enhance velocity and productivity. Develop clear goals, roadmaps, and delivery timelines to support Smartsheet's rapid and sustainable growth. Collaborate closely with engineering leadership to prioritize, plan, and allocate resources effectively across departments. Contribute to shaping Smartsheet's corporate strategic vision and day-to-day operations as a key member of the Senior Engineering Leadership Team.

You Have:

13+ years of experience building and leading a growing engineering function, ideally for a SaaS offering A proven track record of crafting captivating and intuitive user experiences that resonate with end-users. Over a decade of hands-on experience in building and steering engineering teams to success, particularly within the realm of SaaS offerings. Expertise in nurturing and scaling high-performing engineering talent, fostering an environment where excellence thrives. A thoughtful and strategic approach to engineering leadership, driving innovation while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency. A genuine passion for creating exceptional enterprise products that cater to a diverse global customer base. The ability to forge strong partnerships and alignment with cross-functional teams, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders to execute on strategic objectives. A collaborative mindset, leveraging your technical expertise to drive positive outcomes across interdisciplinary teams. Experience operating in environments supporting substantial user bases, ranging from tens to hundreds of millions of monthly active users. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
