The Systems Support Technician is the first line systems support for Management Services.  This includes dealing with everyday support issues, common difficulties, and time sensitive queries, aiming to solve problems at the first point of contact. The role is responsible for collecting as much information about a colleague’s issue, and if unable to solve the problem, hand this information to the relevant member of the team for second line support.

Our ideal candidate will be a conscientious team player with high levels of self and team motivation and who is able to work to tight deadlines. You will have high levels of accuracy, be analytical, with a keen eye for detail and an intuitive nature. Role and responsibilities of a Systems Support Technician:

Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to and working on support tickets, following set response times
  • To provide technical support, answering support queries on ServiceNow or via call/email and ensuring tickets are logged correctly
  • Managing assigned tickets in a timely manner, ensuring that service users are kept up to date
  • Learning and understanding our products
  • Continuously contributing towards our service guides and knowledge
  • Proactively escalate issues to appropriate departments where necessary
  • Carry out essential housekeeping and admin tasks on our dedicated systems

Skills and experience required for a Systems Support Technician:

  • Strong ability to problem-solve and think logically
  • Good trouble-shooting skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
  • Effective organisation and time management skills
  • Organised and process orientated
