Job summary

2 x Band 6 Rotational Paediatric Physiotherapist posts - 6 month fixed term posts.

Our rotations offer a wide range of experiences, including Musculoskeletal Disorders, Trauma and Orthopaedics, General Medicine & Medical respiratory, Oncology, Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR), Neurorehabilitation and Neurodevelopment.

Main duties of the job

You will be supported by experienced senior clinicians who will give you professional support and training in each area. There is a well developed teaching program to aid your professional turn you may also provide support and supervision toassistants and are looking for Physiotherapists who are keen to gain clinical experience as a Band 6 within a friendly, forward thinking, and supportive Paediatric Therapy Service. You must have a proven desire to work with children and be an effective team player with excellent communication and organisational a rotational Physiotherapist you will contribute to the weekend on call rota. Respiratory and other appropriate training will be provided.

Qualifications and Training

Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy Registration with Healthcare Professions council Evidence of recent and relevant post graduate continued professional development

Extensive broad based NHS experience in general physiotherapy practice across a wide range of specialities Post graduate experience of working in paediatric speciality Evidence of caseload prioritisation Experience of supervision/mentoring more junior staff Experience of working at a senior level (band 6 or above)

Experience of working at Band 6 in an acute hospital setting Previous participation in respiratory on-call rota
