Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Paediatric Respiratory team as a specialist in cystic fibrosis management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide highly specialist physiotherapy services for children with cystic fibrosis in inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as in community settings.
  • Manage community paediatric patients with cystic fibrosis as part of a multidisciplinary team, requiring excellent communication and educational skills.
  • Develop and lead a highly specialised physiotherapy service for children with cystic fibrosis in the regional centre, St Michaels' hospitals, and shared care clinics.
  • Work autonomously as a lone practitioner in community settings, collaborating with CF consultants, nurse specialists, and dietitians.
  • Provide education, training, and teaching to physiotherapy students, healthcare professionals, and other physiotherapists at local, national, and international levels.
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly proactive paediatric respiratory team, supporting the development of a highly specialised physiotherapy service for children with cystic fibrosis.

The successful candidate will be a skilled paediatric clinician with previous or transferrable skills at B 6 or above, demonstrating high-level communication skills and empathy.

As a specialist in paediatric respiratory care, you will have the opportunity to work closely with respiratory consultants and clinical nurse specialists, providing highly specialist physiotherapy input and advice at CF clinics, annual reviews, and peripheral clinics.
