Job Title: Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide specialist physiotherapy services to children undergoing Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) or within the acute neurosciences service.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide highly specialist physiotherapy services to children undergoing SDR or within the acute neurosciences service.
  • Assist in the development of the service as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide a source of expertise locally, nationally, and internationally.
  • Act as a lead practitioner in the management of complex cases within a multi-disciplinary team approach.
  • Provide specialist advice to other members of the multi-disciplinary team and provide clinical education and training to others within the Trust and externally.
Person Specification:
  • Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
  • Registration with the Healthcare Professions Council.
  • Evidence of relevant postgraduate continued professional development, such as spasticity management and gait analysis.
Desirable:
  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and special interest groups.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to motivate, teach, and share learning.
  • Ability to be a team player.
