You become part of team within the manufacturing operation, providing leading water treatment chemicals both in the UK and abroad.

The Sales Ledger and Accounts Assistant will be responsible for producing timely and accurate invoices/credit notes, ensuring all revenue is reported correctly in the monthly accounts. Your ability to adhere to strict deadlines will be critical as well as your ability to provide management information and analysis to the business.

The role is paying up to £23,500 for a 37.5 hour working week.

Requirements

  • Timely and accurately raising of invoices/credit notes to ensure all revenue is reported correctly
  • Updating commercial analysis spreadsheets and providing chemical usages and other analysis'
  • Updating transport analysis spreadsheets for monitoring overheads
  • Carry out periodical system maintenance including checking all orders are correctly invoiced
  • Updating Price Lists in Sage
  • Dealing with customers invoice/delivery queries over the telephone professionally and efficiently
  • Liaising with customers in writing when necessary
  • Communicating effectively with other members of the operations and finance team
  • Completing invoicing via client portals as required
  • Providing Holiday cover for other roles within the operation to maintain administrative support

Person Specification

  • Experience in a similar role (preferable)
  • Experience of Sage 200 (advantageous) or similar systems
  • Resilient & robust personality, able to resolve problems and meet deadlines with an eye for detail
  • Self-starter and able to prioritise own workload and proactively provide data
  • Demonstrate exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Actively participates in team working to ensure organisational and team goals are effectively met
  • Supports colleagues by responding effectively and efficiently to requests for help & information
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills
