Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of warehouse operatives to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Training & Development: Provide training and support to new team members, ensuring they are well-integrated and productive.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly review team performance, providing feedback and implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse.
  • Problem-Solving: Address any issues or discrepancies in the warehouse, finding effective solutions promptly.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee stock control and inventory accuracy, ensuring optimal stock levels.
  • Reporting: Maintain records and prepare reports on team performance and warehouse operations.

Shift Pattern:

  • 3 on 3 off
  • 6am - 6pm
  • Initial training period (1-2 months) will follow this shift pattern, but shifts may change afterward.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse team leader or supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • An FLT Reach license is beneficial but not essential.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts as required.

Compensation:

  • £13.37 per hour
  • Overtime at £20.05 per hour
  • Opportunity for a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
