We are committed to developing and training our staff and you will join our dynamic clinical pharmacy team providing pharmaceutical care to a number of areas on rotation. This includes general medicine, general and orthopaedic surgery, cardiology and admissions.

Withybush General Hospital is a busy district general hospital with approximately 250 beds. It provides a range of medical and surgical specialities including coronary care, acute stroke, trauma and orthopaedics, frailty, critical care and the emergency department. The clinical pharmacy service is well established and provides high quality care across all specialities.

Main duties of the job

You will be joining a team of experienced Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians and you will be expected to work as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver a patient focused clinical pharmacy service in all areas.

You will be working as a key member of the pharmacy team providing a clinical service to a number of areas on rotation, Medicines Information can also be included.

You will have the opportunity to develop your practice in a wide range of clinical areas in a small and friendly general hospital.

You will be supported in any ongoing studies including prescribing qualifications.

You will be expected to undertake the role of responsible pharmacist when working as part of the dispensary team.

Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

Masters degree in pharmacy (4 years) or equivalent experience or qualifications Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council Professional knowledge of medicines managements systems and process in an integrated NHS Experience of teaching & supervision of pharmacists, technicians, assistants and students Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience or qualifications Knowledge of specialist area as described in job advert
