What will you be doing?

The successful candidate will join a team of media and trade effectiveness consultants whose core objective is to support FMCG manufacturer and retailers with their growth plans by analysing the impact of their in-store sales and marketing activity and identifying opportunities to improve performance. Recommendations are made on our client’s media, price and promotional strategies. This is achieved via insightful analysis of our Marketing Mix Modelling solutions, powered by Circana’s EPOS Liquid Data.

As a Media Effectiveness Consultant you will work with a team to support contracted and ad hoc services to Circana’s analytics clients. Your role will be to support on all media projects, being responsible for managing projects from sign off through to the delivery of reports and results, working closely with the local technical analytics consultant and the offshore modelling team.

In the role you will work closely with FMCG manufacturers and retailers to support their needs by designing and executing various analytic solutions to target and measure media performance. You will also liaise with their media agencies and some of the media owners during the process

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for project management, implementation, analysis and delivery of Analytics projects using Marketing Mix modelling (Econometrics) delivering insight and recommendations for clients for future media campaigns. Work with the Senior Consultant to develop subject matter expertise in the process and delivery of our media solutions Strong project management from sign off through to the delivery of reports and results, working closely with the local technical consultant and offshore modelling team. Liaise with media agencies and media owners to collect the data for studies Sense checking modelling outputs and providing feedback to the modelling team Interpret modelling results and make insightful recommendations to our clients on their media spend. Client liaison and key contact throughout the project

Requirements

Interest in or understanding of marketing strategy, and/or FMCG business/market trends Previous relevant experience, preferably with data analysis (insight) or data management background – marketing mix insight delivery a big advantage Good knowledge of Media channels and how advertising works essential Applicants do not need to have a statistical background to apply, but must have strong analytical skills with an aptitude for accurately managing and interpreting data and proficient in MS Office Preferably experience of working with Circana Market Advantage or similar big-data platforms Strong knowledge of types of analytical principles such as A/B Testing, Multi-Touch attribution and Marketing Mix Strong analytical, insightful and strategic thinking skills Ability to interpret data and develop strong story telling narratives Excellent presentation skills with the ability to make complex data simple to understand. Good planning and organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects and local and offshore resources Positive and enthusiastic attitude with aptitude to learn Self-motivated, accountable and committed with good decision making and project management skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment managing multiple projects and stakeholders Articulate, able to proactively identify and communicate issues, taking ownership for resolution and/or escalating as appropriate
