The Role:

  • Work closely with the school's pastoral team as a learning mentor, providing support to students in overcoming learning barriers.
  • Lead initiatives targeting individual and small groups of students, creating an environment conducive to learning and personal development.
  • Establish and maintain open communication channels with teaching staff, parents/carers, and additional needs/EAL staff to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Supervise and support students in the Focus Area, offering guidance on tasks, ensuring completion of assignments, and collecting work.
  • Maintain accurate daily records and efficiently perform necessary administrative tasks.
  • Develop and implement personalized action plans for students identified by the pastoral team, conducting individual or small group meetings based on a predetermined schedule.
  • Collaborate with the pastoral team to innovate and implement effective support and intervention packages for students.

Rate dependant on qualifications and experience.

You must:
• Be eligible to work in the UK 
• Have professional experience working with SEND children in the UK in the last 3 years
• Have up to date professional childcare related references (covering the last 2 years)
• Have an enhanced DBS disclosure on the Update Service or be happy to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
