Specific tasks could include:
Programming for profiling machines such as lasers & saws Producing digital drawings & 3D models from the customers specifications & requirements Minimising waste & scrap per program. Responsible for machine workload Working with operators to achieve overall Equipment Effectiveness Customer liaison on a daily basis Liaising with all internal departmentsWe offer you

Essential Skills for the role:
Excellent verbal, written & numeracy skills. Experience as a CAD Technician in a similar heavy industry environment, ideally within the steel industry Expertise in Solidworks and ideally Artube Lasertube Programming Software Must have confident computer skills & a good understanding of Microsoft Applications with excellent attention to detail. Good organisational skills including the ability to manage time and prioritise effectively. A positive flexible attitude and approach. Team focused Has worked in a similar CAD technologist role in the steel industry or similar heavy industryHow it feels to work for us
