Job description

Job responsibilities

You will have excellent numerical and analytical skills andpossess the ability to work autonomously, achieve deadlines and prioritise yourworkload. A knowledge and experience inusing Microsoft Excel and an understanding of general ledger accountingsoftware would be an advantage.

Essential

The ability to provide and receive complex financial information to/from financial and non-financial staff orally, in writing or electronically in a professional manner. Good computer skills with experience of the Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word. Ability to work to all routine and ad hoc deadlines. Ability to identify and act to remedy circumstances that mean a deadline is at risk.

Desirable

Has an appreciation of the NHS finance regime. The ability to input into and interrogate the Finance General Ledger to obtain standard and ad hoc reports.

Qualifications

Essential

Minimum of 5 GCSEs / O Levels (A* - C) including Maths and English, or relevant experience. Demonstrates a track record of academic achievement or has experience of working within a finance function.

Desirable

Experience of working within a NHS finance function. Studying towards a professional accountancy qualification
