Job Title: Design Co-ordinator
Location: London / Southern England
Division: Building Division
Overview:
GRAHAM Construction is seeking a proactive Design Coordinator to join our Building Division. This junior role is ideal for candidates with a degree in Architecture or Construction Management and some experience in design coordination. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of design activities across our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Coordination:
- Coordinate design activities between architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all design work is aligned with project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
- Assist in managing the flow of design information and maintaining communication among all parties involved.
- Documentation Management:
- Oversee the organization and distribution of project documentation.
- Ensure that all design documents are accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to the project team.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct reviews of design documents to ensure quality and compliance with project standards.
- Assist in identifying and resolving design-related issues.
- Project Support:
- Provide support during the tender process by coordinating the preparation of design documentation.
- Assist in the development of design briefs and specifications.
- Site Coordination:
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor the implementation of design solutions.
- Coordinate with the site team to address any design-related queries or issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Architecture or Construction Management.
- Some experience in design coordination or a related role.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and project management tools.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
