Whatyou'll do

You’ll define andsupport the technical delivery of architectural patterns,processes, policies and standards that underpin governance, riskmanagement, and the compliance of technology at NatWestBoxed.

Alongside this, you'lldefine and communicate the shared technical and architectural viewof end-to-end designs using solution building blocks that may spanmultiple platforms anddomains.

You’llalso:

  • Support andprototype new risk management tools by solving problems withcode
  • Develop a strategy for documentation atscale and implementing automated tooling whereappropriate
  • Architect processes for privacy andsecurity that work at scale
  • Deploy andarchitect a process for managing system and process ownershipacross NatWest Boxed
  • Implement audit automationtools and processes, while supporting organisational accreditationand audit initiatives, such asISO27001

Theskills you'll need

You'll beable to communicate complex concepts and collaborate in aremote-first environment effectively with various teams, includingplatform engineering, security, privacy andrisk.

Additionally, you'll beable to work effectively within an architecture chapter andarticulate the relative trade-offs between solution designproposals, explaining effectively how solutions conform toarchitecturalprinciples.

You’ll alsoneed:

  • Knowledge ofapplication architecture patterns, including microservices andCQRS
  • Experience of defining applicationarchitectures and roadmaps for complex solutions across all layersof the technical architecture
  • An understandingof Agile and contemporary methodologies with a background ofworking in Agile teams
  • Experience deliveringsolutions that securely span a complex infrastructure domain,including real-time integration into Cloud or software as a servicesolutions
  • Proficiency in Cloud nativearchitecture, Zero Trust principles, Git version control and dataarchitecture patterns
