We are currently recruiting for Lead Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Immingham. This exciting role within the Engineering Team could be the perfect opportunity for you to build a unique career in a values-led culture.

This is a permanent position within our engineering team, working 8am - 4:00pm. 

As a Lead Technician (Electrical bias) you are responsible for providing expert technical knowledge on the sites electrical assets.

Responsibilities include:

  • You are required to follow company Health and Safety procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others. Risk assesses planned works and select appropriate risk mitigation for identified risks.
  • To engage with topical specialists from within the wider Knauf group both to develop process knowledge and ensure best practice is carried out
  • Deputise for the maintenance team leaders when required, backfill for shift technicians when required (may include out of normal working hours at short notice) Form part of the sites out of hours on call support
  • Generating permit to works for engineering activities as part of the maintenance job packs
  • Utilize CBM technologies and analyse data to take forward our reliability program
  • To coordinate and supervise service and repair contractors, ensuring at all times the opportunity to develop knowledge is recorded.
  • Use lean engineering techniques to drive forward our maintenance program.
  • Complete Root cause analysis events to discover ways to optimise our maintenance PM structure and eliminate defects
  • Provide hands on support for our shift teams when required for troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with shift teams to train them in new techniques and embed new learnings
  • Complete assigned SAP work such as Preventative maintenance work orders, CBM/AM routes, and improvement projects
  • Generate Work Instructions and review current work instructions for maintenance activities
  • Raise purchase orders for manning/Materials and contract services.
  • Carry out maintenance project works to improve our systems and assets.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Previous experience working as an Electrician within motor maintenance, fault finding, PPM maintenance, panel maintenance, etc.
  • Knowledge of electrical power and control
  • Knowledge of PLC control systems.
  • Knowledge of production, engineering or process controls including manufacturing techniques & standards.
  • Knowledge of safe systems of work and procedures and an excellent regard for health and safety.

Desirable:

  • HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Apprenticeship
  • Siemens S7/S5 diagnostic experience
  • BS7671 IEE 18th Edition
  • Experience with CMMS systems (Ideally SAP)
  • Understanding of six sigma methodology.
