The Job Role of a Maintenance Electrician

Working as an electrician within a small maintenance team to ensure all plant and facilities remain in good working order.

  • Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and building systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and determine the best course of action for repairs
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and control devices
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential electrical problems and address them proactively
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient operation of equipment and systems
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to electrical codes and regulations
  • Monday to Friday Day shift with overtime available

What do you need to be successful as a Maintenance Electrician?

As a Maintenance Electrician you will need a strong electrical background as well as a flexible attitude to work to support the wider maintenance team.

  • Level 3 qualified with 18th Edition
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Previous experience in a similar role e.g. Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Engineer, Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Engineer is essential
  • Experience in HTM & High voltage is highly advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • H&S conscious at all times
  • Team player with a flexible approach to work
