Electrical Maintenance Specialist

Knauf UK & Ireland, a leading manufacturer of building materials, is seeking a skilled Shift Electrician to join their Engineering Team in Immingham. Key Responsibilities- Optimize Plant Availability: Apply electrical expertise to ensure efficient preventative maintenance and swift responses to breakdowns.
- Support Manufacturing Team: Assist in addressing breakdowns, resolving quality issues, implementing technical improvements, and supporting daily operations of the production plant.
- Monitor Machine Failures: Identify and address machine failures, making changes or recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
- Develop Preventative Maintenance Schedules: Create and implement schedules to maintain plant equipment and prevent downtime.
- Prepare Work for Maintenance Periods: Source parts and equipment, and prepare work for maintenance periods to ensure smooth operations.
- Improve Processes: Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work carried out on SAP, after receiving appropriate training.
- Handovers and Meetings: Participate in daily maintenance meetings and provide detailed handovers when arriving and leaving shifts.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain clean-as-you-go standards and actively participate in health and safety initiatives.
- Essential: Previous experience working as an Electrician in motor maintenance, fault finding, PPM maintenance, panel maintenance, etc.
- Knowledge: Electrical power and control, PLC control systems, production, engineering, or process controls, including manufacturing techniques and standards.
- Health and Safety: Knowledge of safe systems of work and procedures, with an excellent regard for health and safety.
