Location: ResourceBank
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 38.5 hours per week
As part of ResourceBank's advanced Equipment Preparation Centre, you will join a dedicated team of professionals focused on the inspection and assembly of state-of-the-art Volvo heavy machinery, including wheeled loaders, articulated dump trucks, and hydraulic excavators. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all equipment meets the specified standards and client expectations.
This position offers a distinctive chance to leverage your technical skills while enhancing your engineering expertise through mentorship from seasoned professionals and hands-on training. You will also have the opportunity to pursue an NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, which will facilitate your career growth in plant maintenance and field service engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough pre-delivery inspections
- Installing mechanical and electrical components, including hydraulic systems, lighting, reversing cameras, seat belt alert systems, and audio equipment
- Fitting additional parts as per customer specifications, such as buckets, hitches, and grabs
Qualifications and Experience
We welcome candidates at various stages of their vehicle engineering careers, whether you are a recent graduate of a vehicle maintenance apprenticeship or an experienced technician. While a formal qualification in vehicle engineering or an apprenticeship is preferred, it is not mandatory. What truly matters is your hands-on experience with construction machinery, agricultural equipment, heavy goods vehicles, or light vehicles.
A valid UK driving license is a prerequisite for this role.
