The Job Role of a Maintenance Electrician
Working as an electrician within a small maintenance team to ensure all plant and facilities remain in good working order.
- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and building systems
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and determine the best course of action for repairs
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and control devices
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential electrical problems and address them proactively
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient operation of equipment and systems
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to electrical codes and regulations
- Monday to Friday Day shift with overtime available
What do you need to be successful as a Maintenance Electrician?
As a Maintenance Electrician you will need a strong electrical background as well as a flexible attitude to work to support the wider maintenance team.
- Level 3 qualified with 18th Edition
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience in a similar role e.g. Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Engineer, Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Engineer is essential
- Experience in HTM & High voltage is highly advantageous but not essential
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- H&S conscious at all times
- Team player with a flexible approach to work
