Job Opportunity

As a dedicated Lead Care and Support Worker at Lifestyles Community Services (LCS), you will:

  • Ensure that the highest standard of essential and routine care is delivered at all times.
  • Encourage and support our service users in reaching their full potential.
  • Be responsible for the safe custody of medication, including ordering, auditing and administration alongside other senior colleagues.
  • Assist with the use and care of hoists, showing proficiency in all movement and transferring techniques.
  • Maintain and complete Medication Administration Records (MAR) charts.

As a Strode Park Foundation colleague, you will get comprehensive support from day one and receive training and development opportunities to develop your skills.

The Coach House offers respite and residential care for young adults with disabilities. The Coach House is an independent building that sits just behind but on the same land as Strode Park House. The team at the Coach House offer support, advice, and care to ensure the young person is in a safe and secure environment whether that be long- or short-term basis.  Each young person receives a person-centred care plan after assessment. The young people are encouraged to continue with their education and to attend college. They are also offered opportunities to get out and about and enjoy accessible holidays. The Coach House is fully accessible and a fun and vibrant place to be. Shift times at LCS are:

  • Long - 9.00am-9.00pm
  • Night - 9.00pm-9.00am
  • AM – 9.00am-3.00pm
  • PM- 3.00pm-9.00pm


LCS provides care on a 24-hour basis, 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays. This means we value reliable and flexible staff. We will consider all requests for flexible working and are proud to be a 'Flex from First' employer. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you need.


Essential Skills

Our ideal Lead Care and Support Worker will:

  • Have direct or indirect experience of disability or supporting those with disabilities.
  • Hold Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or be willing to attain this qualification.
  • Be able to clearly and appropriately communicate both orally and in writing with people inside and outside the Foundation.
  • Have the ability to work using your own initiative and within a team.
  • Be flexible and able to meet the working pattern demanded by this role.

Although not essential, it would be an advantage if you have experience of working in a supervisory role.
