Job Title: Registered Children's Home Manager

Job Summary:

Field View Care Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Registered Children's Home Manager to lead our solo unit Children's Home in supporting 8-18 year olds with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD). As a Registered Children's Home Manager, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with Ofsted and authorities, managing staff and resources, and overseeing the care, safety, and development of all residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and management to the Children's Home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services to residents.
  • Staff Management: Manage and develop a team of staff to provide a positive living experience for residents, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Resident Care: Oversee the care, safety, and development of all residents, including the implementation of individual care plans and the provision of a safe and supportive living environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the Children's Home is compliant with all relevant regulations and standards, including Ofsted requirements.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with Ofsted, authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the Children's Home.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 2 years' experience in operational/management and service at a children's residential setting.
  • Qualifications: NVQ 5 Leadership and Management, Management Qualifications, Child related/Social care qualifications, and knowledge of Management theories.
  • Skills: Experience of working with children with EBD in a residential setting, experience of facilitating, organizing, and directing teams, and experience of using childcare Standards and best practice models to guide decision making.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
