What you’ll be doing: As Internal Business Development Manager in our Bolton branch, you’ll manage a panel of brokers aligned to the National Trading Centre (NTC). You’ll be the key contact for broker relationships within the NTC. You’ll manage regular reviews of broker strategic development plans, working closely with senior managers and the Regional Manager. You’ll maximise income and revenue, with a focus on profitable growth.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 60% of your week away from home, either at our Bolton office, visiting brokers or attending industry events. Your brokers are based nationally, and you’ll manage the relationship face to face, by phone or MS Teams. Travel costs for broker visits covered by AXA Commercial.

Your Profile

What we’re looking for: 

Demonstrable sales and negotiation skills – essential. Networking and relationship building skills – essential. Experience of working in Financial Services or Insurance. Knowledge of underwriting and risk management principles. Awareness of profitable business with the broker channel. Expertise in business planning. ACII qualification or equivalent – beneficial. 

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
