Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Medical Records Officer within Business Support based at Ailsa Hospital, Ayr.

The post is primarily based at Ailsa Campus, however at times the candidate may be asked to attend Arrol Park Resource Centre to cover periods of leave and support service delivery.

What you will do:

You will provide comprehensive, confidential clerical and administrative support to the Medical Records Service throughout the Ayrshire Central Hospital campus.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You will be educated to ‘O’ Grade / Standard Grade Credit or National 5 in English and Maths and possess an SVQ Level II qualification in Administration or equivalent experience.

With good proven typing skills and experience of data input, you will also have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated packages (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams & PowerPoint). Experience of using the electronic Patient Management System (PMS – Trakcare) and experience of working within an NHS environment as well as an understanding of NHS inter-disciplinary networks are desirable.

You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, have the ability to adhere to strict maintenance of confidentiality and the flexibility to adapt to changes and last minute demands.
