The Role

As a Business Development Executive you will support the Business Development team to achieve targets, to create, implement and monitor group and company level Business Development plans and activities. You will directly support the coordination of pitches and RFP/RFI responses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Business Development Team and Business Unit Leads in the creation, implementation and tracking of a proactive business development plan at a group and individual company level
  • Pro-active maintenance of business development planning resources (through working together with other members of the BD team)
  • Working with the identified pitch/RFI/RFP leader and designated team, assume overall support responsibility for identified pitches, proposals, RFI’s and company presentations
  • Project management support for RFI/online responses
  • Timely and effective oversight of:
    • CRM system maintenance
    • Maintenance of electronic and paper-copy filing
    • Maintenance of Master Resource List
    • Support Business Development Team with onboarding of new companies
    • Facilitate updates to business development S.O.Ps
    • Creation and maintenance of case studies
    • Maintenance and proactive updates to all relevant BD resources
    • Maintenance of company expertise and experience ‘database’
    • Support Business Development Team in preparation of ad-hoc material development and preparation, in addition to related service offering development

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Project Management skills an advantage
  • General knowledge of science/broad therapy areas and an understanding of the Pharma industry and drug development process
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Project management skills
  • Highly organised
  • Intermediate to advanced PPT skills
  • Creative experience and ability to style Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents to be visually pleasing
  • Research skills an advantage
  • Able to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
  • Enjoys working on a variety of projects and with different teams
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Takes pride in seeing a project through to completion
