Critical Care nursing is a unique combination of working with the latest techniques and technology and delivering the highest standards of individualised care to patients. We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Clinical Nurse Educator to join our Critical Care team to support the nursing team with their educational needs.
We are looking to recruit a motivated and dynamic individual, with relevant critical care experience, who can bring enthusiasm to the existing Critical Care Clinical Education team. Applicants should have significant critical care experience post qualification in speciality (critical care course).
The successful candidate will be required to work clinically with our new starters and students to ensure they get their competencies signed off.
Main duties of the job
The Critical Care Complex is a 28 bedded unit which provides care to patients requiring level 2 and level 3 support from a variety of specialties; post-operative care for major surgeries, organ support for both Medical and Surgical patients and emergencies via the Emergency Department.
Our team of over 170 nurses and 15 critical care Consultants are supported by a range of other healthcare professionals to deliver care to our patients. We work as a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team providing care across a range of specialties.
The successful candidates should have extensive recent experience within a comparable Critical Care setting and should be qualified in specialty.

1. In collaboration with other senior colleagues, to identify, support and promote nursing practice developments.
