Job summary
The Dermatology service at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, is looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to deliver exceptional care for patients with chronic skin diseases.
You will work closely with, and be supported by the existing Clinical Nurse Specialists, medical team and work alongside the multidisciplinary teams.
For this Band 5 post the candidate will be expected to undertake a period of training, academic and professional development in order to deliver Specialist care. We would expect the competencies to be gained within a nine month period. The post holder will actively participate and fully engage in a developmental pathway.
We welcome candidates from all specialties with transferable skills and there are opportunities for personal and academic development within this role.
Main duties of the job
To participate in the running and organisation of the Dermatology outpatient clinics
To support the Dermatologists and specialist nursing staff within the clinics
To portray a professional attitude and demonstrate effective communication skills at all times
To facilitate and provide high quality care to patients with chronic skin conditions and their carers prompting a positive patient experience
To manage delegated responsibilities
To communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team

Job responsibilities
To deliver as part of the Dermatology service and pathways and subsequent performance
To work with the multidisciplinary team across an integrated pathway of care to deliver quality standards in line with NICE guidance. To work with the nurse specialist team to ensure that all patients have equitable access to investigations, treatment and follow-up care.
