We are currently undergoing an exciting transformation as we transition to a cloud-first approach. This strategic change demonstrates our dedication to remaining at the forefront of technology and offering our clients cutting-edge, scalable, and resilient solutions.

The successful candidate will work a 24/7/365 rota, including evening and night shifts, as well as weekends. 8am - 8pm 4 day block, 4 days off, 8pm - 8am night block, 4 days off.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates based in Liverpool, but the role can be done remotely in the UK after the successful completion of your training. During your training you will be expected to travel to Liverpool monthly.

Day-to-day

  • Provisioning of 2nd line Technical Support to Internal and External Customers
  • Deploying Technical Infrastructure & prerequisites to support both Managed & Hosted services and company software deployments
  • Conducting Hardware & Software patching & Firmware Upgrades
  • Managing VMware patching & Upgrades
  • Conducting DR / Backup Testing and Azure Management (VM's, NSG Rules, Storage Accounts etc.)
  • Maintaining & Updating Technical Documentation
  • Providing Advanced troubleshooting / Proactive support
  • Working as part of the team as well as being self-motivated and self-sufficient
  • Adhering to company and team policies as well as working practices

About you

We are looking for candidates who are confident and keen to build relationships with other people and internal teams. We have a friendly, knowledge sharing and collaborative culture, and are looking for people who share those values. You will ideally have experience in the following areas:

  • A minimum of 2 years in a Technical Role
  • Windows Server
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Installation / Administration of Windows operating systems
  • Understanding of Microsoft applications & services such as AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Group Policy, Certificates
  • Understanding of Virtualised Technologies in an Enterprise environment including storage & backup
  • Understanding of networking concepts and terminology
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical personnel at all levels
  • Ability to organise personal workload to meet agreed timescales and work effectively under pressure

What we can offer you

We are looking for people with 1 - 2 years in a similar role but you don't need to be the finished article. In your first 3 months you will work through our training programme and skills matrix to level up. Our friendly infrastructure team will be on hand to provide training, coaching and guidance. We are also keen to put people through their relevant MS Azure certifications. After completion of the training programme you will move onto the 24/7 rota, but don't worry, support will always be on hand.
