Your new role
As Operations Manager you will be responsible for monitoring and analysing departmental data, KPI’s and costs. You will be part of the senior leadership team, reporting findings to the team, and work with other managers to implement and drive key improvement activities. You will help to deliver projects to improve overall efficiency and promote continuous improvement. You will be managing factory facilities such as energy consumption and identifying and developing processes to help in the reduction of waste. You will introduce new and existing plant technology and occasionally lead special projects that may cover technical advances and capability studies. You will identify root causes of issues and provide technical advice and direction to the production team. You will also be responsible for managing all health and safety compliance and delivering manufacturing costs in line with budget targets.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate should hold a degree in an engineering related field and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience at senior level management within Manufacturing. You should have strong leadership skills and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering disciplines. You should hold a lean qualification and have a proven track record in delivering continuous improvement projects.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary, working in a day shift role. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am - 4:30pm and Friday 8am - 4:30pm. The company offers other benefits, such as Health Shield, a company mobile, profit-related bonuses, 34 days of annual leave and flexi time.
