Job Description

The Malone Hotel have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the highest standards of service and hospitality are always maintained. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage departments, ensuring efficient and smooth operations while meeting the hotel’s goals for guest satisfaction and profitability.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage departments.

Ensure all departments are operating efficiently and effectively, meeting or exceeding guest expectations.

Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and service quality.

Staff Management:

Recruit, train, and supervise departmental managers and staff.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.

Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and staff development.

Guest Services:

Ensure exceptional guest service is delivered consistently across all departments.

Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively.

Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements based on reviews and surveys.

Financial Management:

Assist in the preparation and management of the hotel’s budget.

Monitor financial performance and implement cost control measures.

Analyse financial reports to identify areas for improvement and ensure profitability.

Quality Control:

Conduct regular inspections of all areas of the hotel to ensure standards are maintained.

Implement and monitor quality assurance programs.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Strategic Planning:

Participate in the development and implementation of the hotel’s strategic plans.

Identify opportunities for growth and operational improvements.

Collaborate with the Hotel Director to set and achieve long-term goals.

Relationship Management:

Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners.

Represent the hotel at industry events and networking functions.

Ensure effective communication and collaboration between departments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Significant experience in hotel operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to manage budgets and financial performance.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Proficiency in hotel management software and MS Office Suite.

Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.

Working Conditions:

This position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The role involves frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
