Canolfan Gwasanaethau, Technoleg ac Ymchwil Cymraeg y Brifysgol yw Canolfan Bedwyr. Y ganolfan yw canolbwynt cynlluniau strategol Prifysgol Bangor o ran y Gymraeg, gyda chyfrifoldeb am ddatblygu a chefnogi’r ddarpariaeth cyfrwng Cymraeg, hwyluso defnydd o’r iaith ar draws y sefydliad a chyfrannu at ddatblygiad y Gymraeg ar draws y rhanbarth.

Er bod ei gwasanaethau craidd fel datblygu polisi, gwaith cyfieithu a darparu cyrsiau iaith yn ymateb i anghenion y Brifysgol ei hun, mae’r ganolfan yn rhoi pwys mawr hefyd ar rannu ei harbenigeddau. Mae ei gwaith yn datblygu meddalwedd, terminoleg a chyrsiau ac adnoddau wedi’u teilwra, yn uchel iawn ei barch ymhlith sefydliadau eraill sy’n awyddus i ddatblygu eu defnydd eu hunain o’r Gymraeg.

Prif Ddyletswyddau a Chyfrifoldebau

• Adolygu ac addasu deunyddiau / adnoddau iaith gan deilwra i anghenion dosbarthiadau penodol.

• Adnabod yn rhagweithiol gyfleoedd i gynnig darpariaeth newydd a gyrru cynlluniau yn eu blaen.
• Sgrinio lefelau iaith neu gyfweld unigolion cyn eu derbyn ar gyrsiau, monitro’u datblygiad ac ymgymryd â phrosesau asesu, gan gadw cofnodion trefnus

2. Dan arweiniad Pennaeth Polisi a Datblygu Canolfan Bedwyr:

• Cymryd rhan mewn sesiynau datblygiad proffesiynol perthnasol.
• Gwneud defnydd effeithiol o systemau a phlatfformau digidol y Brifysgol i gefnogi dysgu a gweinyddu cyrsiau.
• Meithrin perthynas weithio adeiladol gyda phartneriaid allanol yn y byd addysg.
• Cynorthwyo gyda’r gwaith o hyrwyddo’r ddarpariaeth ar gyfer y gweithlu addysg.

3. Ymateb i unrhyw ddatblygiadau newydd a allai godi yn rôl y Ganolfan ac yng ngwaith y Brifysgol ym maes y Gymraeg ac i unrhyw ofynion rhesymol gan y Pennaeth Polisi a Datblygu.
