Annual Reviews Officer

We are looking for an Annual Reviews Officer to join the 0-14 EHCP team part of the SEND Team at a time of exciting and positive change. We are a multi-professional service with the statutory responsibility for education and social care for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or a Disability (SEND). 

The Annual reviews Officer supports the SEND Team achieve its statutory duties by meeting tight deadlines and fulfilling the role by liaising with schools, early year’s settings to ensure the continuum of a young person’s special educational needs are being met and the EHCP is reviewed annually.

This is a fixed term position for 12 months.

About the role

The Annual Reviews Officer will work across the 0-14 SEND Team, thereby developing both a general knowledge and skill set in relation to SEND, and also developing this further in relation to provision and transitions specific to the age groups. They will manage and process all aspects of the annual review procedure within timescales and enact the corporate decisions of RBWM in its execution of its statutory SEN responsibilities in accordance with the relevant legislations i.e. Education Act of 1996 and in line with the SEN Code of Practice (2015) and the Children and Families Act (2014).

About you

The right candidate will have:

Educated to A level or equivalent, with appropriate professional qualification/s. Level 2 qualification in Maths and English and IT or equivalent experience. Knowledge and understanding of the legislation relating to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Knowledge and understanding of the Education system from 0 - 25 years. Practical experience in a relevant field to include working with parents, families and education providers. Personal determination, drive, energy and ambition to achieve challenging objectives, celebrate success and deliver excellent outcomes for children using a strength based approach.
