Forseven, a revolutionary company is looking to transform the EV industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices, are seeking a Vehicle Motion Engineer - Semi-Active Features to join our highly skilled and dynamic Engineering team.

The role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of our offices in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

Reporting to the Vehicle Motion Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the you will play a crucial role in the development of the chassis components within the suspension systems.

What you will do:

    • Design, develop, and validate advanced semi-active features and systems for luxury EVs.
    • Conduct performance testing and analysis to ensure the quality and performance of the suspension systems.
    • Enhance existing suspension features and systems to meet evolving customer demands and regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in the development of vehicle dynamics controls and integration with the suspension system.
    • Supporting Chassis control software development of relevant actuators using MPC e.g longitudinal & lateral torque vectoring (TVC),Rear wheel steering (RWS),Steer-by-wire (SbW),Brake/brake-by-wire (BbW) including recuperation and arbitration with traction control (TC),Anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC, ESP, DSC)

Who you are:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
    • Experience working within the automotive or manufacturing industry (desirable)
    • Proven experience in vehicle model integration and systems requirement
    • Strong knowledge of suspension system components
    • Familiarity with vehicle dynamics, suspension systems, and control algorithms.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
    • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
