About the Role

Forseven, a pioneering company at the forefront of electric vehicle innovation, is seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Dynamics Engineer - Active Features to join our dynamic Engineering team.

This exciting opportunity will be based in our offices in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, where you will have the chance to collaborate with some of the most visionary minds in the automotive industry.

As a key member of our team, you will report directly to the Vehicle Motion Lead Engineer and play a crucial role in the development of advanced active features and systems for luxury electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Create and validate innovative suspension systems and active features to enhance vehicle performance, durability, and safety.
  • Performance Testing and Analysis: Conduct thorough testing and analysis to ensure the quality and performance of suspension systems.
  • System Enhancement: Continuously improve existing suspension features and systems to meet evolving customer demands and regulatory requirements.
  • Vehicle Dynamics Controls: Participate in the development of vehicle dynamics controls and integration with the suspension system.
  • Software Development: Support the development of chassis control software, including the integration of relevant actuators, such as longitudinal and lateral torque vectoring, rear wheel steering, steer-by-wire, brake/brake-by-wire, and recuperation with traction control, anti-lock braking system, and electronic stability control.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Industry Experience: Proven experience working within the automotive or manufacturing industry (desirable).
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of suspension system components, vehicle dynamics, and control algorithms.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
