Job summary

We are looking to recruit a HR Advisor to join our HR Business Partnering and Advisory Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an existing HR professional wishing to take the next step in their career.

Before you apply, let us tell you a little bit about the team and the role..... Our HRBP and Advisory team delivers a high-quality HR service providing support and advice for line managers and staff both face to face and virtually. We are part of the HR Directorate working alongside other teams such as Resourcing, Organisational Development, Payroll and Workforce Information. We are a great team to work with and all team members experience an excellent supportive team culture and flexible working approach.

So now you know about us and the role, let's think about you, who are we looking to join our team? We are looking for applications from existing HR professionals who are knowledgeable about UK employment law and best practice and who already have some experience of dealing with all aspects of ER issues. The successful candidate should have the ability to manage a busy and complex ER caseload and feel confident presenting to large groups of staff. Most importantly we are looking for someone who supports and promotes equality and diversity and whose behaviours are consistent with the Trust values and expected behaviours.

Main duties of the job

Our HR Advisors deal with a specific area of HR specialising in the whole range of Employee Relations issues. Every day is busy, and some days can be challenging. Typical duties include advising employees on terms and conditions of employment and giving managers advice on ER cases such as flexible working requests, disciplinary issues, performance management, resolutions and management of sickness absence/attendance. There is a monthly face-to-face HR slot at the monthly Trust induction which our HR Advisors attend on a rota basis as the HR Directorate Representative, helping to welcome up to 100 employees a month to the Trust. They also design and deliver training courses to large groups of managers and staff either face-to-face or virtually and contribute to policy development reviews.

This post is hours and we can offer flexible and hybrid working patterns.

About us

We are dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusivity within our workforce and warmly welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, with a particular emphasis on encouraging those from disabled, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities, as well as candidates from our local area.
