Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Practice Manager to join our team and lead the operational management of the practice. The Practice Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the practice, ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective services to patients. The role involves overseeing the day to day operations, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Main duties of the job

Operational Management:

Oversee the daily operations of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery Implement and maintain practice policies and procedures Manage the practice's administrative and clinical systems Staff Management Lead, manage and support the practice team, including recruitment, training and performance management Foster a positive and collaborative working environment Financial Knowledge Awareness of the practice's finances, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting Ensure efficient use of resources and cost effective service delivery Compliance and Quality Ensure the practice complies with all relevant regulations, including CQC standards Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives Patient Services Ensure high standards of patient care and customer service Handle patient complaints and feedback effectively Strategic Planning Contribute to the development and implementation of the practice's strategic plans Identify opportunities for service development and improvement

Job responsibilities

Operational Management:

Experience

Essential

Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent organisational and problem solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Desirable

Proven experience in a management role within a healthcare setting, preferably in General Practice Financial acumen and experience in managing budgets Knowledge of CQC regulations and standards
