Job Description

As a Communications Officer, your day-to-day principal accountabilities will include:


• Collaborate closely with the Head of Communications to execute the EDF EPR Engineering communications strategy effectively.
• Take ownership of producing engaging, informative content for an internal audience, ensuring that it aligns with our messaging (including, but not limited to, intranet stories, digi screen content and weekly newsletter).
• Lead the internal communications efforts related to employee networks to ensure that a coherent, consistent and engaging approach to employee networks is applied.
• Staying abreast of what’s happening in order to identify and put in place the appropriate communication strategies and plans that enable the successful embedding and communication of change.
• Accountable for the preparation and sign off of verbal, written and digital communications that inform, enthuse, engage and align those that work on the project with the vision and changes.
• Represent the function/Business Unit at internal and external meetings, ensuring that EPR-E activities align with wider Group and Project comms strategies and plans.
• Provide communication support for business-wide initiatives, events, and networks.


Qualifications

Essential:
• A natural communicator who enjoys engaging with colleagues, gathering insights, and understanding what’s happening across the organisation.
• Good with planning and can manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Able to draft content and messaging that aligns with the bigger picture communications strategy
• Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels from the Exec through to peers and front line staff.
• Able to influence and obtain buy-in to communication plan proposals that meet business objectives and ensure effective communications to staff.
• Able to establish appropriate routes to sign off where this is undefined.
• Able to respond to quickly changing circumstances and high levels of demand, providing timely, high quality communications support as needed.
• Able to act independently and use initiative.
• Excellent written communication skills are essential.

Desirable:
Experience with the following would beneficial:
• Web building/design
• Adobe Create Suite (Photoshop, InDesign etc)

Languages (level)
• English fluent (required)
• French – bonus
