Shift pattern is variable Monday - Friday to meet service requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Immunology & Anaphylaxis service as an independent practitioner in the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist. In application, you will have relevant registered nurse experience and have a special interest in caring for patients requiring Immunology / Anaphylaxis investigations, treatments and management of life long conditions. Being certified in Clinical Assessment and Non Medical Prescribing is advantageous to the role and if not already attained ,you will have the opportunity to train and expand your education within this specialty

You will have the skill set to:

Competently perform the necessary technical/invasive/physical aspects of care to support patient compliance with treatment regimes.
Act as a resource for expert advice and training, whilst facilitating an immediate point of contact for urgent patient consultation.
Support a clinical caseload, plan efficient outpatient care & independent follow up reviews to support wellbeing & admission avoidance
As a nurse specialist , you will provide patient/ family education in both hospital and community settings to maintain the condition and prevent the need for hospital admission. Work independently and possess a high level of interpersonal and confident communication skills to support this specific client group whilst managing telephone consultations, patient referrals, interface with hospital clinicians and general practitioners to maintain excellent clinical links between the services, whilst upholding confidentiality at all times.
Independently assess and treat patients in hospital day wards, OP clinics, and also in patients’ home settings.
Be responsible for consultancy, teaching, audit, research, participate in service development in conjunction with the team lead and maintain service objectives to meet the changing demands of delivering specialised Immunology and Anaphylaxis care
Contribute professionally within groups which may cross-traditional or service boundaries
Possess a high level of ITC skills including e- forms, Trakcare and portal.

All Statutory / Mandatory Learnpro training modules must be compliant and include educational modules relevant to this specialty.
