We are recruiting for a People Advisor to join us here at Octavius on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract.

We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.

 

You'll be working on…. (what your role and responsibility is)

As a People Advisor, you will deliver a professional service to effectively manage the administration associated with the ‘employee life cycle' and related people systems, processes, and activities. You will proactively work to improve the performance of our People systems, support our colleagues with any queries, and ensure all processes are GDPR compliant. Key responsibilities include absence management, onboarding and offboarding, and providing management information for process improvements.

A highly motivated and dedicated team of People professionals, collaborating to support projects and initiatives across various frameworks. You'll work closely with Line Managers, internal stakeholders, and external providers, ensuring all aspects of the employee lifecycle are delivered to a high standard.

You'll bring… (your wealth of experience & qualifications)
  • 3 years of experience in an HR Advisor role, with strong knowledge of HR processes and systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience managing the employee lifecycle, including absence management, probation reviews, and maintaining employee records.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
