Sales Administrator - Linea Research

Based: Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire 
Term: Permanent, Full time

The Role:

Linea Research is one of the brands within the Focusrite family. Focusrite plc is a listed audio products group that develops software / hardware products for the music generation market.

Linea is based in Letchworth Garden City, Herts and have an exciting position for someone who is customer focused. You will work closely with our Marketing and Sales Manager and Operations Manager to support our valued client’s base.

You'll be the point of contact for accurately recording sales orders and following a process from order receipt to despatch of goods. As well as working well within a team and being flexible to help in other roles when required. 

The successful candidate will be honest, dynamic and customer focused, working with clients across the globe.  Previous experience of working in a similar position is preferred.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Sales Administration – order entry, stock allocation, despatch of goods, commercial invoices, arranging shipments and updating clients on progress of their orders.  This includes and not withstanding:
    • General customer queries
    • Sales reports and summaries for the Sales and Management team
    • Expected delivery date management, acknowledging clients requests.
    • Pricing and stock availability enquiries (after training)
    • Preparing Quotations
    • Sales Invoicing and delivery notes for despatch
    • Shipping & Logistics - organise daily freight collections, working with customers to book appropriate shipments and collections both international and domestic.
    • Keep clients updated on their order status.
    • Loan order processing.
    • Build relationships with customers, general customer queries.
    • Support the sales team/account managers and colleagues.
    • Filter incoming telephone calls

Other ad-hoc duties:

  • Supporting with setting up meetings
  • Occasional travel booking and local event support.
  • Assist other departments’ requirements.

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferable but not essential
  • Experience of using business management systems ideally Access Supply Chain, or SAP, Oracle etc preferred.
  • Literate in Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and Office 365.
  • Comfortable working with large sets of data in Excel, knowledge of pivot tables would be an advantage but can easily be trained.
  • Highly organised with good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Team player, with professional, positive, and proactive approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills

Working hours:

37.5 hour working week.  Monday to Friday 08.30 am to 5pm.  Office based.
