We are seeking an enthusiastic administrator to fulfil the important role of first point of contact for routine phone and email queries, processing bookings and communicating with customers, as well as providing general administrative support to the Holidays Leadership Team.

WHO WE ARE

Scripture Union Scotland is a national charity, with around 100 staff and over 2,000 volunteers. Our vision is to see every child and young person of Scotland exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus.

Each year, SU Holidays welcomes more than 3,000 guests to week-long and weekend holidays. We have plans to develop the SU Scotland Holidays ministry over the next few years to offer a varied and creative programme of SU Holidays and welcome an increased number of guests. 

PURPOSE

As part of the Holidays team, provide administrative support for all week long and weekend holidays. The successful applicant will seek to ensure high quality administrative support across the Holidays department.

Key Responsibilities

To input event details and process holiday bookings To provide administrative support to Holidays Leadership Team To enter and proof event information on the Booking Database  To assist with travel and logistics organisation for holidays and events

Who we are looking for

We are seeking applicants with strong administrative skills, who are committed to excellence in communicating the vision and ministry of SU Scotland and delivering quality SU Holiday events. Applicants for this post should have some previous experience working in an office environment, an excellent phone manner and previous customer service experience.

For this post, it is important that you are committed to SU Scotland’s ethos, working principles and vision and can demonstrate this through your commitment and motivation. It is also an Occupational Requirement (Equality Act - part 1, schedule 9), that the post-holder is a committed Christian.

The successful applicant will be required to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme and the appointment will be subject to a satisfactory PVG Scheme Disclosure.
