I am working with a secondary school in Burnley, that is seeking passionate resilient learning support assistant to join their team in September. The school offers education to students aged 11-16 in a mainstream setting but have had an increase in SEMH & challenging behaviour in recent years. The class sizes are reduced to enable the children to be supported holistically and to meet all their individual needs. The applicant may be required to work on a 1:1 basis with the children.

Requirements:

-          Professional or personal experience of supporting with young people with SEND and/or Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties or experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication.

-          Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships.

-          A passion for working with SEND is essential.

Important information:

-          From £83.85 daily pay rate

-          Burnley, Lancashire

-          September 2024 start

-          Temporary position with the view to go permanent for the successful applicant
