**Job description**

Salvere Support are looking to recruit a friendly Personal Assistant/Support Worker within the area of Burnley, BB10 to support a young lady within her own home living with a learning and developmental disability and a diagnosis similar to Cerebral Palsy.

The hours are 24 hours per week to cover 10 months of Maternity Leave, with a possibility of a permanent position at the end of the term. There will also be the occasional additional ad-hoc hours.

Previous care experience is preferable but not essential as full training will be provided. Having the right personality for the role is a priority.

**The Job Role**:
You will support our client, a young lady on a one to one basis, to maintain her independence, wellbeing and provide help with all day to day tasks. See the list below:

- All aspects of personal care
- Moving and handling including hoisting
- Support with food and fluid intake via Gastrostomy Tube (PEG)
- Medication preparation and administration
- Companionship and support with getting out into the community in wheelchair
- Household tasks including cleaning and housework

Our client is non-verbal however still enjoys being involved in conversation, she enjoys various activities including crafting and art, shopping, all things Disney and getting out and about locally. Ideally the right person for the role would be naturally friendly and caring with a positive attitude and able to proactively organise the day's activities with our client without direction.

You will be supported and encouraged to undertake role specific training and education opportunities to develop your skills further. You are required to undertake all mandatory training relevance, online and in person.
