Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Burnley. The successful candidate will have experience working in Key Stage 2 and a Level 2 or above in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.

The role involves supporting children in the classroom who are working below age-related expectation, particularly in Maths and Reading. The ideal candidate will be committed to raising attainment and working closely with the class teacher to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children in the classroom with their learning
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson planning and delivery
  • Providing one-to-one support to pupils who require additional help
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working in Key Stage 2
  • Level 2 or above in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
  • Ability to work effectively with children and staff
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
