About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 2 team on a long-term basis. This role offers great opportunities for professional development within a supportive and collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher with delivering lessons and engaging learning activities.
  • Work closely with small groups of pupils or on a one-to-one basis to offer targeted support.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, safe learning environment.
  • Assist in the preparation of learning resources and classroom materials.
  • Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil progress and development.
  • Support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) when necessary.
  • Participate in school-wide activities and events as required.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school, ideally within Key Stage 2.
  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and learning strategies.
  • Ability to work with children of varying abilities and provide differentiated support.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A positive, patient, and nurturing approach to working with children.
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above) preferred.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
