Role Overview:

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will work closely with teachers and the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement personalized strategies that enhance students' educational experiences and promote their well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Support students in managing their emotions and developing coping strategies.

Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to monitor student progress.
