Job Title: Business Analyst FTC (up to 6 Months)

Join McCarthy Stone, a leader in the retirement community sector, as a Business Analyst within our Transformation Department. In this strategic role, you will be at the forefront of our Target Operating Model programme, driving meaningful change across our business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Development & Optimization: Develop a comprehensive understanding of current and future operational processes, ensuring they are documented and optimized for maximum efficiency.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Collaborate with the Insights team to analyze data, identify improvement opportunities, and present actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Work alongside subject matter experts to assess risks, implement process improvements, and ensure full compliance with company policies and UK regulations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management: Partner with project stakeholders to define the benefits and costs of potential changes, facilitating stakeholder buy-in and ensuring smooth change management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead the implementation of new processes, monitor project success metrics, and continuously seek opportunities for iterative improvements.

Key Soft Skills:

  • Communication & Facilitation: You’ll need strong communication skills to articulate complex ideas and facilitate workshops with stakeholders, users, and management. Your ability to translate technical details into clear, actionable insights will be critical.
  • Team Collaboration: Success in this role depends on your ability to work effectively within a team, collaborating across departments to drive business transformation. Your ability to build relationships and work collaboratively is essential.
  • Problem-Solving & Innovation: Strong problem-solving skills are key. You'll need to think on your feet, quickly devise solutions, and adapt to changing circumstances to ensure project success.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A university degree in information or business science.
  • Extensive experience in business analysis, preferably in an operational environment.
  • Strong project management skills, with a background in complex, multi-project programmes.
  • Proficiency in business project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Experience in continuous improvement and process optimization.
